Taj Mahal is one of the greatest monument of india,in the city of Agra.It was built by Mughal emperor Shah jahan in memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.The construction was started around 1632 and completed on 1653, employing twenty thousand workers.The cost of this construction is around 32 Million Rupees.
Earliar to this, the emperors of mughal used Red sandstones.But shah jagan started to use white marbles.He began his work in the riverside of great river Yamuna in the city of Agra. Mumtaz Mahal’s body was first buried in Zainabad garden.After six months of time period her body was again transferred to the major tomb of Taj Mahal. Mausoleum of both Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan were constructed in Taj Mahal.
Basically Taj Mahal is considered as a tribute to a beautiful woman and a monument for enduring love.Taj Mahal has a dome over the ceiling of the building,this dome is made up of white marbel.The speciality of this construction is, colours will change at different hours of the day and also during different seasons.Taj will look pink in colour during morning and in evening it will be pure white in colour.The variations of colour implies that different moods of woman. Western historians says that this the only architectural beauty has never been surpassed.
